Thornton Fractional Township High School District 215

Dear Parent or Guardian:

We are pleased to inform you that effective Friday, September 8, 2017, Thornton Fractional Township HS District 215 will be implementing a new option available to
schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the current school year.

What does this mean for you and your children attending our schools?

All enrolled students of TF North, TF South, Center for Academics and Technology, and the Center for Alternative Learning are eligible to receive a healthy breakfas
t and lunch at school at no charge to your household each day of this school year.  No further action is required of you.  Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit an application.

What are we serving?

Breakfast consists of a breakfast entrée, served hot or cold, a fruit and a milk.  Lunch consists of a main dish, a fruit, a vegetable and milk.  See the “Monthly Men
u at a Glance” at each school’s website for the specific daily menu items.

What happens to MySchoolBucks?

For those parents who have been using “MySchoolBucks” to pay for cafeteria purchases, adjust your account accordingly.  Additional a la carte items such as cooki
es, smoothies, side salad, and side soup will continue to be available for purchase.  If you have additional questions email Janice Opitz at jopitz@tfd215.org
